I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Tsai lab at the Picower Institute at MIT.  Prior to this, I began my postdoctoral training at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in the Lindquist Lab. My research interests lie in uncovering the molecular underpinnings of neurodegenerative disease risk and progression. Currently, I am studying how genetic risk factors for Alzheimer's disease alter fundamental cell biology to increase disease susceptibility. My scientific training began in chemistry and has taken me through biophysics, genetics, cell biology, and most recently neurobiology. I enjoy cross-disciplinary thinking. I hope to combine techniques from many fields to uncover the complex biological processes that underlie neurodegeneration.
